Description
“GAH!”
A surprised Twilight fell over on her back as sounds of trumpet horns and confetti exploded the moment she opened the door. Hearing all the commotion from inside the kitchen, Megan immediately left the breakfast table to see what was going on. TJ followed shortly after, but not before showing the rest of his breakfast in his mouth
“TEEJ?”
“NOM! Coming! GULP!
Spike just watched them leave. He then looked at all the empty plates the table and sighed as he got up to fetch an apron.
“Twilight!? What's going-?” Megan barely got time to finish her sentence as a familiar pink pony bounced in and around Twilight.
“Urgh...” Twilight moaned. “What the-? Pinkie Pie?”
“Good morning Twilight!” Pinkie Pie giggled. “What are you doing sleeping on the floor? It's a big day today!” Twilight just frowned at Pinkie. Pinkie then bounced over to Megan and TJ. “Oh! Good morning Teej! And good morning to you Megs! Are you feeling better?”
“Yeah... I'm fine.” Megan replied dryly with a frown while rubbing her face. Despite Pinkie's cheerful attitude, she hadn't forgotten that little 'joke' she played on her yesterday. Her face still hurt from it.
“Look Megs... I'm really, really sorry about yesterday.” said Pinkie with a hint of guilt in her voice. “I really want us to be friends so I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. It was a stupid joke.”
Megan didn't say anything at first, until she felt TJ's muzzle nudge her. She looked at him and read the expression on his face. She sighed. “Fine... I forgive you Pinkie P-” Pinkie suddenly hugged her, sporting the biggest smile she had ever seen.
“OH THANK YOU! THANK YOU!” she cheered.
“Pinkie...” Megan chocked. “Air...”
“Whoops!” Pinkie quickly let go of Megan, allowing her to catch her breath. “Sorry!” she smiled sheepishly.
“It's okay...” Megan wheezed while regaining her posture. 'Wow... What a grip...'
“It's great to see that you two made up.” TJ smiled. He then turned his attention to Pinkie. “We had ourselves a little talk last night and everything worked out fine.”
“That's SUPER! By the way, I've got a little surprise for you Megs.” said Pinkie.
“A surprise?”
“Yeah. You see, I felt REALLY bad for what I did and I REALLY wanted to make up for it.” She then appeared beside TJ and pulled him close next to her. “So TJ and I had a little talk and he suggested that you needed a break and some friends around your age.”
“Break..? Friends..?” Megan then curiously eyed TJ. “My age..?”
“I just figured it would be better if you made some friends here that you could relate to.” TJ smiled.
“Yup! So I've arranged you a PLAY DATE!”
Megan cocked an eyebrow. “A play date..?”
“Or rather... PLAY DATES!”Pinkie suddenly opened the front door and revealed three young fillies standing outside the library. All three immediately cantered inside. “Megs, meet the Cutie Mark Crusaders!”
Megan looked at three fillies as they stopped before her. Confused, she smiled and weakly waved at them. “Uh... Hi?”
“Hi thar!” said the tiny yellow earth-pony with the large pink bow. “Ya'll must be Megs! So you're the 'hu-mon' Pinkie was talkin' 'bout?”
“Yup! That's me...”
“Neat! We've neva seen a human befur. Name's Applebloom.” She reached out her hoof. Megan smiled and shook it. Applebloom then looked at TJ. “So... Are ya that there feller's pet?” A rather flustered Megan clenched her teeth together and said nothing.
“My name is Sweetie Belle!” said the white unicorn. “It's a pleasure to meet you.” She suddenly giggled. “I'm sorry. But what's up with those clothes?” Megan didn't reply to that.
“And I'm Scootaloo.” said the orange pegasus. “And together we are...” All three suddenly huddled together.
“The CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS! YAY!”
Both Megan and TJ blinked deadpanned at them, while rubbing their ears. “That's... interesting. My name is Megan. This is TJ.” What followed was a brief moment of awkward silence. “The Cutie Mark Crusaders..?” Megan finally asked.
“Yeah! We're trying to earn our cutiemarks.” said Scootaloo proudly. All three then showed them their flanks and sure enough none of them had marks like the older ponies. “So we're on a quest to find our talents.”
“Of course, as ya'll can see... We haven't found it yet...” finished Applebloom.
Megan and TJ curiously looked at one another before directing their attention back to the Crusaders. “That's... fascinating.” said Megan with forced excitement.
“Sure is!” said Pinkie as she suddenly appeared beside Megan with a hoof around her shoulder. “So I told them that you would happily help them with their quest.”
“What?!” exclaimed Megan. “But I don't-”
“Please Megan?” begged TJ. “I think this should be a good opportunity for you to get to know these ponies better.”
“Teej...” Megan pulled TJ away from the ponies and whispered in his ear. “I didn't come here to babysit fillies.”
“Actually... They're here to babysit you.” TJ whispered back.
“WHAT??!”
“Just for today!” TJ quickly replied while backing away due to her sudden outburst. “It'll just be you four. I'll just remain here with Twilight and girls while you guys have fun. Maybe they can show you more of Ponyville?”
“We sure can.” replied Scootaloo.
'Alone with the girls..?' Megan glanced at Twilight and then looked at TJ. “Teej...” Megan folded her arms and gave him a suspicious look. “Are you sure you're not just trying to get rid of me?”
“No!” exclaimed TJ. “No. I just figured you could use some time away while we discuss the party. I'll come and find you once we've done, I promise.”
“Personally, I think that's a great idea.” said Twilight finally. She had silently listened all through their conversation. “Megan, you can hang out with the Crusaders, while TJ, Pinkie and I talk more about the party that's happening today. And perhaps a few other things too...”
“About what?” asked TJ.
“Well... There's still a lot of things I still would like to know about you. About your world and how the ponies there are like.”
“Uh...” TJ was nearly rendered mute. He shot a quick glance at Megan who just looked at him. “About my- I mean, our world? Gee Twilight... I... I don't... mean I-”
Megan was suddenly beside him. “Just go along with it.” she whispered. “Act natural and just make something up. I know you're good at that.” TJ blushed for a bit at that. “And also, try asking her more about the Elements. We need to know what's really happening here.” TJ nodded and then faced Twilight.
“Sure Twilight! Just ask me whatever you like.”
“Then it's settled!” Twilight smiled. “You and I stay here and exchange some knowledge while your companion is outside playing with the girls. I'm sure they'll have a lot of fun.”
“I agree!” Pinkie smiled. She then turned to the Crusaders. “Why don't you girls start with showing her your clubhouse? I'm sure she's gonna love it.”
“SURE!” replied the Crusaders in unison. They quickly surrounded Megan and led her outside.
“Come on Megan!” said Scootaloo as she led the way.
“It's not far. It's jus' up by Sweet Apple Acres.” said Applebloom.
“You're gonna love it Megan.” said Sweetie Belle. “I just know we're gonna have so much fun.”
“Bye bye girls!” said Pinkie as she waved at them. “Have fun Megs!”
'I'll try...' grumbled Megan. She shot a quick glance back at TJ as he sat opposite of Twilight, already trying to answer her questions. She could tell that he was sweating. 'Good luck Teej...' Megan then noticed Applebloom curiously looking at her for some reason. “Something wrong?”
“Uh... No! Nothin's wrong...” said Applebloom. “Ah jus'... Ah jus' wanted to say what a pretty bow ya have thar.”
Megan reached for the bow behind her head. “Really?” she smiled. “Well, I think yours is nice too.”
“Really?” Applebloom touched her own bow and smiled. “Gee! Thanks!” she beamed.
“Are you girls coming?” shouted Scootaloo far ahead of them with impatience as she mounted her scooter. “We've got lots of crusading to do.”
“Coming!”

The duo is splitting up. What mischiefs will Megan and the Crusaders get into? Will TJ be able to come up with a good story? We'll see next time 
Sorry for the terribly long wait. Christmas burned me out completely and I was having some computer issues. With any luck, the next one won't take THAT long.
